Valedictory Session - Two weeks National Refresher Course on “Research Methodology and Data Analysis" through virtual platform on 7th April, 2021 at 2:00 pm

The Teaching Learning Centre, Ramanujan College in association with the Indian Accounting Association, NCR Chapter with Focus News as the Media Partner, organized a Two weeks National Refresher Course on “ Research Methodology and Data Analysis (Sharpening Skills through MS-Excel, SPSS, MATLAB and R)” from  24th March to 7th April, 2021. The course had registrations of around 800 participants, which included academicians, researchers and faculty members from all over India. 

The Valedictory session was held on 7th April, 2021 at 2:00 pm and had the presence of Prof. Nageshwar Rao, Vice Chancellor, IGNOU, Former Vice Chancellor, Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani, Nainital as the Chief Guest for the session. Prof. Nageshwar Rao   appreciated the contribution of the organizing team towards training the young researchers on a continuous basis. According to him the thrust should be on quality of research, a stipulation of New Education Policy.

Prof. Vinay Gupta , Dean ,Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi , Former Dean, Examinations , University of Delhi , Professor , Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi (Guest of Honour )was happy to note that the programme was interdisciplinary in nature. He was of the opinion that outcome of the research must be in form of a research paper in the well rated journals. Guest of Honor Prof. Surender Kumar, (Head, Department of Economics, Delhi School of Economics, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Delhi) highlighted the need for training the participants to raise research questions so that quality research can be produced  .Guest of Honor Dr Vikas Gupta, (Registrar ,University of Delhi) appreciated the quality and content of the programme. 

C.A. (Dr.) Sanjeev Singhal, (Central Council Member, ICAI, President, I A A, NCR Chapter) highlighted the importance of data analysis and research exposure being provided by the ICAI to fellow professionals along with the academicians.

The dignitaries were welcomed by Prof. S.P Aggarwal, Webchair and Principal Ramanujan College, Dr J.L.Gupta, Member Executive Council, University of Delhi and Dr Rekha Dayal, Coordinator of the course. The highlights of the Refresher Course were presented by Dr. Anjali Gupta, Coordinator of the programme. The feedback of the participants was put on record in the session. The valedictory session ended with the vote of thanks presented by Prof. S.P .Aggarwal. He thanked the dignitaries for sparing their valuable time and giving concrete suggestions for future course of action. He presented a special thanks to patron of the program Dr J.L.Gupta . He also thanked all the participants and the resource persons who made the course knowledge packed, interactive and enlightening.
